McBranding -McCarrots?

I saw this wonderful article which I felt McDonald's could do further. Of which its branding and the ability to extend its strong brand recognition into products that are healthy in nature. In this case, McD have been targeted by many groups for promoting high calorie products to young children. In fact, such a movement is now spreading into Malaysia with many children under the age of 12 years of age have gained "extra pounds" for taking excessive McD.

Branding = perception of value . In fact, rather than using the high handed approach, I think Malaysian govt can learn to take the cue from McD of using its branding to cross promote products that could be healthy.

Rather than wasting time worrying about the effects of fast food, I think the big boys of Marketing (McD, Pizza Hut, etc) should lobby for governmental support to promote healthy products using their good brand recognition Branding is definitely a good option to hook onto pre-schoolers and McD is just doing that now. Imagine McCarrots or McLettuce being promoted. Wouldn't that be better than insisting companies as such to put labels of warning to warn parents of the dangers of fast food.

Put it simply - Marketing 101. I think this is what our Health Minister should be exposed too. I think many laws and regulations today tend to meet issues head-on.  Therefore, lets try using good labels to create new branding image. Imagine McCarrots - wow! Click here to read news report.

D-Day!

I guess I talked Carol of going over to PathLab to do her routine blood checkup. After all, nothing wrong in doing so. Yearly or so, we must do it. Otherwise, we will always live in a world of false pretext and assurance. Nevertheless, Jefferson was worrisome about the idea of myself and Carol getting a pine or so blood drawn out for testing purposes. Well, I went into www.pathlabs.com.my Wow! Looks like some online store! Sorry PathLabs! Not trying to promote or ask advertising fees for stating this...hehehe..

Anyway, stay cool and be cheery!
